3 MONTHS OLD!

Madden turned three months old last week! I can't believe it's been three months since he was born. He has been a hard baby but such a joy to have in our family. He has added so much happiness to our home. Not to mention, he is stinkin' cute. We love this little boy. Here are a few things we know about Madden at just three months old...
* he eats every hour and a half to two hours
* he loves to smile
* he loves his big sister and smiles every time she talks to him
* he loves to suck his binky until he falls asleep
* he has to have a little blanket cuddled up to his face to go to sleep
* he sleeps the best when he falls asleep in his carseat
* he sleeps in his big boy crib every night and does really good
* he is finally starting to sleep better during the night
* he is gaining weight like crazy
* he holds his head up so good
* he hates tummy time, but definitely needs it more because he is getting a flat head
* he is a little snuggler and loves to be cuddled to sleep (it doesn't happen very much but when it does, he loves it)
* he is on Prevacid twice a day
* he still takes an hour to eat four ounces
* he always has the yummiest little neck cheese
* we call him "Snack Pack" because he thinks he can eat whenever he wants
* he loves to be outside
* he is starting to look more like Presli
* he has found his hands and loves to chew on them

OH....I love this little girl...

I know Presli is not old enough to read this or even understand it, but when she looks back I want her to know how much her mommy loves her. Lately Pres and I have become the best of friends, well I like to think so. The older she gets, the more fun we have together. She is such a big helper and has been the best little girl since Madden was born. It's a good thing because its the only thing that has kept me sane. And she is the best big sister. You should see the way Madden looks at her already.

I have had so much fun with Presli the past little while. She does the cutest things and puts a huge smile on my face every second of the day, and I am constantly laughing at the dorky things she does. She is such a dorky, funny little girl!

Not only that but each day I am amazed at how smart she is. These are just a few things that you wouldn't think a 2 year old knows...her full name, she can spell Presli, she knows her birthday, she knows her phone number (new this week), she can tell you every sound of the alphabet, can recognize over half of the alphabet, she knows her colors (if she is focused), and is talking in full sentences! These are just a few things on the long list of things she knows.

She is the sweetest little girl in the world. She is always saying please and thank you, and her most frequently used word is sorry (she doesn't really understand the full concept yet!)

I can't get enough hugs and kisses from her and am constantly wanting her to love on me. I love her so much, and each day that love grows stronger. I want her to know how happy she makes me, and how much joy she has brought into her mommy and daddy's lives. She is the best little girl ever, and not to mention she cutest thing ever!!!! I love you Presli jo!

A Day With Doctors And . . .

Yesterday we spent the day in Vegas with doctors and nurses, doing some tests to see what was wrong with our little guys kidneys. We left at 6:30 a.m. and got home at 6:30 p.m. It was a long day. Our poor little thing had to get an I.V. and sit with a catheter for an hour and a half. They took pictures of dye running through his urethra, and watched his kidneys empty, and then took x-rays of his kidneys while his bladder was full and during and after it had emptied. He cried a little but for the most part he was a tough little guy. After tests we headed to the other side of Vegas to visit with our Pediatric Urologist. We did find out some good news. He does have a blockage or kink somewhere, but it is not bad enough to do surgery. We will need to keep an eye on it and do some testing every three months and hope that the blockage or kink fixes itself. We feel so lucky that for the most part he is a healthy little boy and are so grateful he will not be needing surgery!

Oh and yes...RSV! We are 2 for 2! Yipee!!!!!

Presli's Special Day!

Today was Presli's Special Day at Pre-School! My mom has a sheet with facts about the kids and they have to guess who it is! The second my mom said her birthday, she just stared at her like she knew it was her!!! I made little sacks full of treats for all of her classmates with a little paper that said...
I AM SPECIAL...
Brown is my hair, Blue are my eyes. I'm 2 years old, I am just the right size. My name is Presli, and as you can see, I'm very happy to be me!

Pictures are such a pain at this age! When does it get better???

Hot Weather!!

We have been enjoying the hot weather! Trips to the park, the splash pad and hanging out at Nana and Papa's. Presli loves being outside, so she is absolutely loving this weather! We have met Lala and Korver at my parents a few times and have let the kids play in the water while we lay out! I can't believe it's already this hot and it's only May!!!! I love the heat!

Madden Is 2 Months!

Madden turned 2 months old on the 22nd of April. He is growing so fast. He had his 2 month check up and he is gaining weight like crazy. He weighs eleven pounds now!! It didn't surprise me though. He eats every two hours and sometimes every hour and a half. He has reflux!! Yay, another baby with reflux! He is so hard. He cries alot and we found out he is allergic to milk!!!! So we are now on Nutramigen formula. It's expensive and it stinks so bad! We have an appointment next Tuesday to see a specialist about his kidneys. He has already had one catheter and an ultrasound and next week he has to have an ultrasound, a catheter and an IV. I am dreading our appointment. I can't believe he is already two months old. He looks so much different than when he was born. He has a chubby little face and he is smiling like crazy! Sometimes he smiles so much he has a hard time drinking his bottle! So cute! He still does not sleep through the night. I have done exactly what I did with Presli, but he just has his own little schedule...none at all! Joe and I are very tired from lack of sleep, and screaming during the day! But we love him like crazy!!! He has brought so much joy into our family!

Madden's Blessing

On April 19th was Madden's Blessing Day. It turned out to be a wonerful day.
Joe gave him an amazing blessing and Madden just sat and stared at his daddy while he gave it to him. We had alot of family and friends share his special day. After sacrament we went to the park and had a yummy little brunch. The weather was perfect. Thanks to all of our family and friends who shared his special day with him, especially to those who made the long trip from up north. We appreciate it.

Dancing With Dallyn

My sister in law had her annual Super Stepper Review. Joe's niece asked him if he would be her escort and do the daddy daughter dance with her! Joe seemed to have fun with all of the other dads/brothers/etc. I don't have a picture of him dancing, but i do have it on video. i will try and see if i can post it. He did a great job.

Presli watching the girls dance. It was all i could do to get her to stay in her seat. She kept saying "Presli's turn dance now." I had to pull her off the floor twice! Yay for me...I hope she wants to dance!
